Compare and Contrast; King Hammurabi & King Solomon

In the City-State of Ancient Mesopotamia and Egypt are really important time period. There are a lot of kings. King Hammurabi and King Solomon are the most famous. King Solomon and King Hammurabi have really strong power on that time. Both are similar in many ways. They built a lot of temple. Both encourage trading and also making a completed defense wall around the empires and established kingdoms. Even they are in different time period but they are similar.

According to Jewish Virtual Library, King Solomon and King Hammurabi have very strong power. King Hammurabi control Sumer and Akkad then he considered New Mesopotamian and established Babylon to be the world's first metropolis. While King Solomon controls Israel and makes the Jerusalem became capital city of Israel and he also established Canaan and created new Mesopotamian Kingdom. They made a new kingdom and city for their empire.

Because they establish and created city, King Solomon and Kin Hammurabi have to rule the empire. They have a similar way of aristocracy. King Hammurabi has created a fair law for people called ‘Hammurabi code’ the first written code of laws in human history.(Hyperhistory) Hammurabi codes are mostly made for a family, ethics, civil war and etc. in 282 laws. King Solomon rules simply but it was a time of peace, prosperity and fairly like in the time of King Hammurabi. (Encyclopædia Britannica Online)

King Solomon and King Hammurabi consume on temples. They both built temple in his period of time. King Solomon is best in architecture. He uses a wood and pure gold to make a temple that takes many years to complete the holy temple or known as Beth Hamikdosh. (Chabad) While King Hammurabi has made a rule to protect temple “If any one steal the property of a temple or of the court, he shall be put to death and also the one who receives the stolen thing from him shall be put to death” (Jackson J. Spielvogel, 2003) So as you see both king see the important temple.

King Solomon and King Hammurabi are a more similar than different. With a highest power, both has establish new city and made a new laws. Which those run in the same way. They consume in building of temple and protect it as a wealth. So even they lived in different period of time they are still similar.
