Mesopotamia is a toponym for the area of the Tigris- Euphrates river system, leargely corresponding to modern day Iraq, as well as some parts of Northeastern Syria, Southeastern Turkey, and Southwestern Iran. However, ancient Egypt was an an ancient civilization of Eastern North Africa, concentrated along the lower reached of the Nile River in what is now the modern country of Egypt. Here I'm going to compare government system, culture and history of two civilizations and it proves that both civilizations are clearly different.
Both civilizations effected to the world with India and China. First of all, the government system of each civilization. For Mesopotamian, they believed their kings and queens were descended from tht city of Gods, but, umlike the ancient Egyptians, they never believed their kings were real gods. So usually Kings and queens of Mesopotamian decided everything for important things to the country. However, the Pharaoh was the absolute monarch of the country for ancient Egyptians and at least in theory, wielded complete control of the land and its resources and at the same time, king was head of the government.
Second, culture of both civilizations. As one part of their culture, the daily life for Egyptian was almost farmers tied to the land. They knew how to comprised the furniture and individual tables and the architecture og ancient Egypt included some of the most famous structures in the world which means their building skill was amazing at that time. According to wikipedai, for Mesopotamian, the thing that really different with Egyptian is they had ceremonies each month and the theme of the rituals and festivals for each month is determined by siz important factors which are moon, architecture cycle, slostices, local mythos, the reigning monarch and specific events.
Lastly, this is the biggest difference , the history of both civilizations. According to the website which explains about early period of Mesopotamia civilization, the history of ancient Mesopotamia begins in 5300 B.C. and end in the 6th century B.C. with Achaemenid Empire. However, Egyptian civilization coalesced around 3150 B.C. with the political uification of Upper and Lower Egypt under the first Pharaoh and it developed over the next three millennia.
In conclusion, we can know by third paragraph that Egyptian civilization coaledced around 2200 years later than Mesopotamian civilization and both of them are unsimilar in many sides but the only the common fact between both civilizations is Mesopotamian and Egyption civilizations effected modern age of world a lot and we can know how the people lived in ancient periods by those civilizations.
