Ancient war has many differences compare to modern war. In ancient war, the weapons were different from modern war. The way they travel is different and also the way they get the news or information. But every period of time, it is still the same purpose that makes a little problem becomes a big war between two or more groups of people.
According to Steven Dutch (1998). In ancient war, the weapons are different from modern war. Before, people still don't have a good education so their weapons are sword, shield, narrow, and others. But nowadays, a lot of people have good education and technology starts to develop. And so when people gain more knowledge, they start to build a weapon which can increase a number of killed such as bombs, missiles, machine guns, and others.
According to Werner Soedel (1979), the way people used to travel between ancient war and modern war are different. In ancient war, some people ride a horse to a battle or travel by boat but now people used cars and tanks during a war. In anicient war, China used horse as transportation. Until, technology has developed. Chinese poeple started to build cars and airplanes and used it as transportation. So this can make them easier and faster to attack other countries.
According to Paul Copan, since long time ago until present, the purpose of war is because of religion. Each religion has different believed. But not everyone believes in one religion. So when people believe in different religion, then it becomes a war. Because when people believe in different things, they start to fight against each other. And so, this problem will continue from past to present.
In the conclusion, modern war and ancient war have differences and similarities. As education and techonology have developed, so people's skills are developed too. People start to build more and more harmful weapons. They also improve vehicles from riding a horse to driving cars. People still fighting about religion. As there have many religions, so people divide each other and fight against each other. I think we should think that everyone is people, they are same. We should talk and solve the problem together. So we will not have a war.
