Why is Mamacita homesick? - Su In
Homesick, which feel really unhappy bcause you are away from home and are mssing your family, friends, and home so much. By my experience, it makes us to be spiritless person. As me, Mamacita is the woman who lives in a foreign country with her youn baby boy and her husband. We can't know that why her family stay at that foreign country but can know that Mamacita was homesick by read this short story. By this story, I can find three reasons that why she 's homesick even though she has hunband and baby together. First, she can't converse with those people in that country. Second, she feels lonely in her life because she just stay at home with her baby for a whole day until her husband will come back home late after his work. And last, I feel like homesick makes her to be in depression mood.
First of all, we can know easily that she can't speak English well by the sentence, "She doesn't come out because she's afaid to speak English, and maybe this is so since she only knows eight words. She knows how to say: He's not here for when landlord comes, No speak English if anybody else comes, and Holy smokes. " This sentence means that she's afraid to speak English so she can't speak English ell and it means she can't converse with others and usually stay at home only with her baby boy and it makes her to be in homesik more and more. Maybe, she doens't have a friend to talk because she 's just afraid to talk with someone else.
Second, most of tme, she just stay at home with her child with her fat body and maybe her life pattern makes her getting more gat and fall into homesick deeper and deeper. We can guess it by this sentence, "She sits all day by the window and plays the Spanish radio show and sings all the homesick songs about her country in a voice that sounds like a seagull."
Lastly, I felt that she's not that rich person because her hunband works for a whole day hardly to earn money to live with family and she locks in herself at home only with her baby. She's afraid to talk with others so she just spends her time alone with listening radio and missing her hometown.
At conclusion, we can all know that she's missint her home badly but she can't go back now and this story was a bit touched my feeling because even me I do miss my home like Mamacita, who is one of baby boy's mommy.
